WELCOME

Something exciting is happening at Longfields. A lot of people hate to move; in fact who likes the idea of going through a move? But everyone likes to take a vacation. And who wouldn't want the whole summer off? Sign me up! Well Longfields has moved but its more of a vacation. We thought our awesome volunteers needed a break from setting up church every week and we also wanted to get to know our neighbors better. So we have moved onto our property at 3376 Woodroffe Avenue for the whole summer. We are doing Sunday morning worship in that big steel barn on the property. And the accoustics are awesome. So come spend part or all of your summer holidays with us in our summer vacation home. Everybody's welcome; and God shows up every Sunday.

Call to Prayer

Did you know that prayer is a form of meditation and that meditation is a form of prayer? Sure you did. But do you understand what meditation is all about? The question is asked because there are many who pray, but permit me to present this case, that prayer without meditation is not genuine prayer. Prayer without meditation is typically just a bunch of words put together in sentence structures which indicate a grammatical and lexical unit consisting of one or more words that represent distinct concepts. I would bet that you hadn’t thought of prayer in that fashion before.

Why do we do what we do?

Considered the awesome power that is contained within a decision. The ability to decide has made some people millionaires and others convicts. It has made some into documented saints and others well know sinners. And in some cases it was the little choices that made all the difference; the first yes or no, now or later, left or right. Sometimes those little choices have significant consequences.
